FREDA'S MESSAGE
I give all glory, honor and praise to my Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ, without whom none of this could have ever been
possible. I give God praise because the words of the songs are inspired
by Him, and all the gifts and talents that went into making this
recording a reality are also from Him. My life is, and will continuously
be, an empty vessel for Him to fill, mold, and use for His glory.
I promised Jesus that I would not compromise the message of His Gospel,
as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, for any reason. The Gospel,
“straight-up”, saves the lost, lacks nothing, and must not be altered.
It is my prayer that God will bring salvation, healing, encouragement,
or whatever may be needed, to every individual who listens to these
songs that have been inspired by the Holy Spirit and His Word.
I thank God for my parents, Pastor Fred & Mrs. Cleola Small, for raising us in a home where Jesus Christ was, and is, the head. Thank you for your encouragement over the years.
Thank you to my husband, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel O. Akognon for your strong support and patience throughout the entire recording process and through our 17 year marriage. To our children, Shola, Joshua, and Shonte, your endurance and excitement with this project has been a blessing.
Thanks also to my church family, Village Baptist of Marin City, for encouraging me to respond to the Lord by developing original worship and praise songs over the years. Thank you to all who sacrificed financially and prayerfully for this ministry. There are too many of you to name individually, but you know who you are, and more importantly, God knows.
Thank you to the Family & Friends for your talents and unselfish giving in this project. It couldn’t have been done without you. All of your ideas and individual contributions gave it that special touch. Thanks Ann for your quick wit on Judgment Day (you know!). Thanks Robin Krueger, Cassandra Monteith, and Ida Times for everything. You did so much I can’t even begin to write it down. Thank you for being where God needed you to be at the right time.
Special thanks to the gang at Different Fur, Howard, Susan, Adam, & Justin. Your patience, personalities,and professionalism made it an experience none of us will ever forget. May God bless you all.
